Kovakkai / Ivy gourd Rice

Ingredients
  •  Kovakkai 250 gms    
  • Carrot 50 gms
  • Onion 1
  • Ginger and Garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala 1tblsp
  •  Salt
  • Cumin Seeds Powder 1 tsp
  • Boiled Rice 1 cup
Tempering

  • Mustard Seeds
  • Oil
Seasoning

  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves
Recipe

  • Cut Kovakkai in length wise.
  • Cut onion and Carrot in length wise.
  • Heat oil in a pan and put mustard seeds, ginger garlic paste, onion, carrot and kovakkai and fry for 10  min.
  • Add garam masala, cumin seed powder and salt and cook for 10 min till the vegetables are cooked.
  • Then add boiled rice and mix well.
  • Add coriander leaves and Curry leaves for seasoning.
